My new album, Cover Crop, will be released by Bicycle Records  at the end of this summer! I’m starting to think about shows and places to visit. Stay in touch! Right now I’m focusing on my tour with Fight A Scary Dog in early July.

I’m so excited to announce that I will be on tour this summer 2010 with Fight A Scary Dog. Not only is this band the shit, but we’ll be traveling around some really awesome spaces in the Northeast, from Upstate NY to the northwoods of Maine, all the way down through New England and back up through the Hudson Valley.

We’re leaving June 27th in an old Toyota RV, thanks to Joe at the Dacha project…so generous to loan it to us. On June 29th we’ll arrive in Maine for the Earth First! Round River Rendevous! If you’ve never been to an EF! Rondy, think about it. Besides being an incredible opportunity to make friends with awesome people, and learn a lot of great skills (tree climbing, plant walks, eco-defense campaign strategy, etc…), it’s also a chance to go camping in the beautiful north woods of Maine! I’ll be updating all of our confirmed shows to this site just as soon as they come in. I’m also going to be making this site prettier. If you have suggestions, please let me know. My friend O’ryan is working on cover art for my new album and I’m really stoked about it. I’m hoping to use some of that stuff for this site.

Sometimes I’m really inspired and full of ambition and confidence. I get lots of ideas and commit myself to this or that but none of my plans ever take root. My goal this week is to cultivate a space in my life for new ideas to grow and flourish!

Right now I’m at the Bicycle Records office in Olympia, WA listening to music and snacking on seaweed & dried blueberries. I’m out here to work on an album with Bob at Bicycle.

It’s so good to be here and take this time to focus. But I got admit the past few days have been a really hard time for me, adjusting to a new place and what not. Besides that, the projects I’m involved with back in Ithaca feel overwhelming and disorganized. I need this space to get organized and regain a trust in myself and my goals. Thanks so much to all my friends out here and back home that have been so great and supportive. Your always there when I need a reminder to trust the struggle.

So I decided to call the album “Cover Crop” because in some ways, my lyrics & music are meant to nurture and then decompose.

This blog will be a work in progress. My hope is to include video, pictures, audio, lyrics, artwork and writings.
